The Freedom to Dream...

After years spent both trackside and on the backstretch, managing partner Christopher Rosania and his family acquired their first standardbred in 1997 – a three year old pacing filly, and began racing at Freehold Raceway. A long time harness racing fan, Chris groomed for the Stanley Dancer Stable one summer in the late 70s while in college with aspirations of entering the business on some level one day in the future.

By 2001, under the moniker Freedom Reins Stable, the family began garnering some success with trotters and pacers both in overnight condition and claming events in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. Owning and partnering to own more than a dozen in training and racing at one time, Chris made the decision to diversify his interest by entering the breeding business. Two of Freedom Reins Stables’ retired racing mares would serve as the foundation of this new venture, and in 2003, the small breeding operation of Freedom Reins Farm was officially launched by Chris and his mother Shirley.

That same year, Chris and his father John purchased their first yearling at the Harrisburg sale with a desire to experience the unique pleasure and potential of developing young stakes contenders. Consequently, Freedom Reins Equine Partners was born.

In 2005, Freedom Reins Farms' first foals were born and we continue to maintain a small broodmare band. We've also acquired shares in such stallions as Muscle Hill, Real Desire and Tell All. In 2011, in addition to a Jereme's Jet yearling filly out of Almahurst Elegant that we will keep and break, we are delighted to offer at the 2011 Harrisburg yearling sale in November a Real Desire yearling colt out of Wish Of A Lifetime, her second foal.
